If your ACA-qualified health insurance plan begins on or after 2010, and you are up-to-date with your premiums, your plan must provide you with preventive care. What’s considered “free preventive care” is several services, medications, and other care that may not require you to pay an out-of-pocket fee. So, if you are within your provider network, you may not have to pay your copayment, coinsurance, or even meet your deductible.
What is considered to be free preventive care varies for adults, women (including during pregnancy) and children. So, we have created a list of every service covered within the differing groups.*
