BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona, an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, has been serving Arizonans for 75 years, insuring over 1.3 million customers. Members are able to choose which network option works best for them: a statewide Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network with access to more than 90 percent of doctors and hospitals in Arizona or more local Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) networks with a smaller number of providers in a more concentrated area. BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona’s plans are certified as Qualified Health Plans according to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
