It provides the residents of Utah with affordable marketplace health insurance as well as Medicaid, CHIP Original Medicare, and Medicare Advantage plans. For individuals and families, Molina Healthcare of Utah Marketplace offers bronze, silver, and gold coverage level plans. If eligible, some may receive payment assistance.

David Molina founded Molina Healthcare in 1980. As an emergency room physician, he was disturbed to find that low-income, non-English speaking, and uninsured patients were not getting the quality of care they deserved. With the mission of providing these underserved patients with high quality care, he began Molina Healthcare in Long Beach, California. As the company grew, Molina healthcare was able to open Molina Healthcare of Utah Marketplace in 1997.

Currently a FORTUNE 500 company, Molina Healthcare has almost 5 million members. Molina Healthcare and its subsidiaries participate in a multitude of charities.
