Vantage is a health insurance company based in Monroe, Louisiana. The company sells platinum, gold, silver, bronze and low-premium health savings account plans on the exchange. The product line also includes Medicare Advantage plans, commercial group plans, and options for the Louisiana Office of Group Benefits. Benefits plans are for sale in the state of Louisiana but will cover students, dependents and retirees living in other states at 100 percent of the Vantage out-of-state allowable fee schedule.

Vantage provides services to approximately 50,000 people and has more than 7,000 contracted healthcare providers.Specialists can be seen without a referral and generic medicine is often available at no charge. Some plans also offer dental benefits. Vantage plans provide nutrition counseling, diabetes education, and tobacco cessation programs. The wellness program hosts a website that helps members with weight loss and health maintenance and features healthy recipes and exercise videos.

A group of doctors formed Vantage in 1994 under the guidance of CEO Dr. Gary Jones. In 2007, Affinity Health Group LLC was created, one of the biggest group medical practices in the state and a subsidiary of Vantage Health Plans Inc. As of 2014, Vantages earned the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) interim accreditation. Employees participate in numerous causes, including the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk, and the American Heart Association’s Go Red event.
