Hospice care is special way of caring for people who are terminally ill, and for their families. Hospice care is covered under Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance).

Services can include doctor services, nursing care, medical equipment and supplies, and medications.

Services can also include hospice aid and homemaker services, occupational therapy services, speech-language pathology services, social work services, dietary counseling, grief and loss counseling, short-term inpatient or respite care, and any other Medicare-covered services needed to manage pain and other related symptoms.
